WATERCOLOUR

Watercolour it the most difficult medium I have used, it takes tons of practice and patience.  Especially working wet in wet having to control the balance of how much water to use. I have thrown away more paintings in this medium than any another.

You can rescue your works by introducing mixed media, ie adding acrylics, crayon, inks etc. I find the key to using watercolour is purchasing a heavy duty paper as it can take a lot of punishment (which is sometimes required), also doesn't buckle.

So next time you view really great watercolour artwork, appreciate the Artists talent!
